Sunday Seven

The last few weeks have flown by so quickly and almost feel like a dream! I have so many things to be thankful for! God is continuing to do awesome things and provide wonderful blessings!
1. I am really thankful for a fantastic family vacation! We had so much fun together seeing the Outerbanks of North Carolina! I'm am in love with the ages of our children right now! They are so much fun! It was great to see them soak in all the new sites and experiences. Seeing and experiencing life through their little eyes is just the best!
2. Grandparents are wonderful! I am so thankful for Cody's parents and their involvement in our children's lives! It was fun to go on vacation with them!
3. I am so thankful for the ocean! It is one of the most amazing sites to see and hear the waves crashing into the sandy beaches. We all loved it!
4. Two weeks ago tomorrow, my sister-in-law lost her job. It was a complete shock and quite devastating. However, God provided her with a new job within the same week. I'm so thankful for God's provision of a new job that she already loves! I don't know why I ever doubt God's goodness or His control of a situation. His way is really always best and His plans are completely higher than we can ever imagine!
5. Being gone from Willow Creek always makes me realize how grateful I am for these people. Today I realized that they all have such amazing stories of grace in their lives. We have moms and dads who have lost babies, people who have overcome ensnaring addictions and sins, marriages that God has restored, and so many many other stories of grace. I love these people and the glory they bring to Christ through their lives!
6. This is old news now, but I'm so thankful that little Ruby's scans have come back with such great results! The cancer is completely on its way out! As I snatched her up today and hugged the sweet little baby girl, I was struck with what amazing things God must have planned for her! She has already been a testimony of God's love and His power to so many people!
7. I'm thankful that spring is here! Our daffodils are coming up and green grass is peaking out! I can't wait to enjoy being outside more!
