Thrifty Thursday!

Thrifty Tip #15:  Goodie Bags for birthday parties can be really expensive, so start stalking the Target Dollar Spot early for great deals!   After each holiday, the dollar items are always marked down!  Many times they are 75-90% off within the first week after the holiday!

Cloe's birthday is right around the corner in April.  I love planning her birthday party and making it a really special day!  We spend a lot of time throughout the year discussing the theme, the decorations, the cake, the games, the crafts...it's so fun to have a girly girl!

Several years ago, we had a speaker at our MOPS group who told us that she went ALL OUT to make her children's birthday parties amazing.  Her theory was that God had given her 18 birthdays to celebrate with her children and after that, it would be up to them to want to celebrate with their mom.  She wanted her children to feel so extra loved and special on their birthdays that they would want to return for celebrations as adults.

Here's a sneak peak at the goodies for Cloe's birthday party.  Shhh...don't tell her!  Half the fun is rolling out all this cute stuff and watching her eyes light up with excitement!  The other half of the fun is watching Cloe joyfully give these bags of treats to her friends!

She is going to love her party!!
I've been keeping my eye open for Harper's party...there's a bunch of stuff in the "party" aisle on clearance right now at Target.

Thanks for the thrifty tips. It gives me something to look forward to on Thursdays! :)

You should really just be my personal shopper. I clearly don't have time for all of that PLUS I live nowhere near a Target ;)
You rock.

Great job! Can I come to her party? I could really use some new Hello Kitty pens. :)

I LOVE that..."make the 18 birthday's you have with them so special they want to keep coming back for more after that!"

Your thriftiness is amazing. I am always inspired by your tips... I need to put out more effort to follow through & try more of them.

I'm sure Cloe is going to have a special day!

I love the Target dollar section clearance! I stock up on stocking stuffers, etc. I got a book for each of my students this year about the states and capitals. Each book only cost me 25 cents. Worked great with some pencils for a Christmas present right before we start learning about s & C in school.

The party is going to be sooooo fun! Don't you just LOVE party planning? I have gotten lucky at the Dollar Tree from time to time. Target is always great though. Keep up the thriftiness!!!
