Smooth{ie} Operator

Smooth Operator
Remember this song?
I seriously have no idea what the lyrics of the entire song are, I just know what sticks out when you hear it here and there...

Smooth Operator
Smooth Operator
Smooth Operator

I can deduct that it's probably not based on something real stellar...but yet it stinkin' gets in your head at the most inopportune times...like while trying to post a blog on smoothies. Ah!

So there you go, now it's stuck in your head too!
(Call me if you don't know the jingle.  I'll sing it to you and you'll dislike me greatly!)
Every year, my parents' garden produces magnificently sweet strawberries.
I begged some strawberries off my mom last week so I could blend them with this great Costco find:

Almond Butter!

This exact smoothie recipe was recommended on my Whole Foods App and in two health and fitness magazines for it's awesome punch of vitamins, protein, and calcium.  It's super yummy and filling!

Why don't you try it and become a Smooth(ie) Operator!

 Strawberry Almond Smoothie

1 c. frozen strawberries (approx. 10-12 berries)
2 T. almond butter
1 c. milk
1 T. agave nectar--only if extra sweetness is desired

Mix all ingredients in blender and blend well.

Mmmmmmm! Looks delicious.
Do you think you could freeze it into popsicles?

I've never thought to mix pb and strawberries before. We use almond and cashew butter around here, too. :)

I'm now a smooth(ie) operator... sounds like an 80's song?!? I had all the ingredients to make the strawberry almond smoothie & 3 out of my 5 liked it. I usually do strawberry, banana, plain yogurt, milk & honey. You've also got me hooked on agave nectar. I found agave syrup at Costco, too. Thanks for the healthy recipes... keep them coming!
