I have a great reason for being so late this week! I'm not a "homemaker" as of right now...it's full-on working 9-5! The kids all went to my parents house for the week. While I'm not fond of them being away, sending them helped fill several needs: our church office needed some help this week, my mom and dad had been asking to keep them, and the kids were wanting to go somewhere for spring break. Everyone's happy!
So, Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!
Brrrrr. Seriously. It snowed again this week. I realize it's Iowa, and that's part of the gig. However, last year, we were breaking high temperature records. I'd take that again, please!
Right now I am:
Wrapping things up for another day. It's funny how quickly the mind can switch from home-tasks to office-tasks. It's been a fun switch-up, but I definitely miss my yoga pants. ;)
When the kids are away, I try to replay as many fun memories of them in my mind as I can. They really are sweet and funny kids. I miss them!

Favorite Blog post this week (mine or other):::
100 Days of Real Food has some fantastic recipes!
Something fun to share:::
Last week, I told the kids we were having bacon and eggs for an after school snack. They went wild with excitement at the thought of BREAKFAST for SNACK! Plus, they LOVE bacon!
They loved this candy version of bacon and eggs and thought it was a pretty good trick!
Before the kids left, we made and delivered these fun Easter bags to invite all of their friends to the Easter Extravaganza at our church.
Isn't that ticket the cutest thing ever? We have an AMAZING graphic designer! Thanks, Bridget!
AND...a new friend brought me a Kombucha starter! If you haven't tried Kombucha, you are so missing out! It's a fermented tea that's full of probiotics and enzymes. My jar will be ready on Sunday! Can't wait! Thankful for such a generous friend!
On the menu for this week:::
Leftovers, salads, and a few meals with giftcards
Thank goodness for giftcards! Seriously, I'm pretty sure a giftcard is my favorite gift ever!
On my to do list:::
Pretty different this week...bulletins, music folders, phone calls...
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
No creating this week. However, the kids Easter outfits have been assembled and are lined up and ready to go! Hopefully no last minute darting to the mall for shoes that fit this year!
If you're not home, it doesn't get dirty. Crazy.
Looking around the house:::
Or office...it's time to go, but Cody is still working on some things...the sun is out and the clouds are so pretty in the blue sky. Wish it were warm enough to go for a walk without freezing in 10 seconds!
From the camera:::
Cloe had her Fourth Grade Fine Arts Night last Tuesday. She is so fun to watch sing...all smiles!
This is her teacher. She is definitely going down as our most favorite teacher ever! She has helped Cloe learn and grow so much this year! We love her!
Part of Fine Arts Night is displaying artwork as well. Beautiful!
The next morning, we were up early for Maddox to get the tubes in his ears replaced.
Look at that little hand...too precious!
The nurses wheeled him off to surgery in a little red wagon. He just laid there so sweet. What a good baby! The surgery center was awesome, too! The nurses sent Maddox a get well card in the mail and filled the envelope with stickers!
On my prayer list:::
The rental house--several showings last week. Praying for a buyer!Safety for our kids at Grandma and Grandpa's house
